Regional account manager, suburban Indianapolis. The job involves a lot of Tuesday morning departures and Wednesday night returns to cities like Columbus, Louisville, and Kansas City. Have been doing this routing for about twelve years, long enough to go through several carry-ons at a rate that suggests either bad luck or a genuine talent for finding wheels that crack on sloped jet bridges.
Trundlo started because friends kept texting asking which bag to buy, and the answer was always longer than a text message. After the third or fourth conversation explaining why a certain popular 22-inch spinner had great reviews and terrible real-world wheel pivot, I figured I should just put it somewhere permanent. Not a travel blogger. Never worked in the luggage industry. Have a husband who owns exactly one carry-on and treats it like a family heirloom, and a dog who has, on two documented occasions, taken a serious interest in duffel handles left on the floor.
What I know comes from twelve years of overhead bins, not press trips or comped gear. If a bag survives two years of my travel calendar, it gets a real recommendation. If it breaks before that, the review says so.
